Omat’s Mingyue Lake semiconductor high-purity materials project has won its first parcel’s land use right and signed the confirmation, accelerating the park. Located near Shaoguan HSR station, it strengthens Omat’s upstream supply chain.

On September 8-9, at the provincial congress’s request, a law-enforcement inspection team led by Shaoguan Congress Vice Chair Zhang Bin checked implementation of the Guangdong Science-Technology Innovation Regulation at Omat’s HQ, Ruyuan base, and other firms; Chairman Wen Hongfu joined as a team member.

Omat’s Shaoguan Key Laboratory of Advanced IC Materials has been approved by the municipal science bureau, focusing on high-performance targets, metals, frontier key materials, and chokepoint technology breakthroughs.

On June 20, 2025, at the China (Shenzhen) IC Summit, the Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association awarded Omat its Outstanding Contribution Award; VP Yang Guangmin accepted on the company’s behalf.

On June 11, 2025, at SNEC PV&ES 2025 in Shanghai, SPIC launched the world’s first copper-gridline PV module Zhulong. Omat Chairman Wen Hongfu attended and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
