On December 6, 2023, Chairman Wen Hongfu attended the municipal government–Agricultural Bank of China Guangdong Branch "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand" project meeting and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Secretary Chen Shaorong and ABC Guangdong president Wang Dajun attended; Mayor Chen Zhiqing presided. President Wang pledged no less than 30 billion yuan in financing support over five years.

On December 2, Shaoguan CPPCC Chair Hu Haiyun visited the Omat Nonferrous Metals production-base construction site. He learned about the project’s progress and planning, expressed satisfaction, and instructed Ruyuan authorities to fully cooperate to speed up construction and early production.

The Shao–Hong Kong Youth Exchange Promotion Association visited Omat for exchange, accompanied by Shaoguan CPPCC and science-and-technology bureau leaders. The group toured the showroom and learned about Omat’s history, operations, and R&D, discussing its achievements in depth.

On November 30, 2023, Liu Xinghua, director of the China Center for Innovation and Development Strategy’s Economics Research Center and Tongji University distinguished professor, visited Omat for research, accompanied by Shaoguan publicity and high-tech zone leaders.
